A few small steps to keep ourselves sane in these times of self isolation

I just posted this in response to a thread but wanted to share with a larger group. Most of us are struggling in these times of self isolation in some way or the other. While there are many articles on what we could be doing on a bigger scale I just am focusing on 2/3 small things: 1. Taking this time as a time of reset. Reminding ourselves that sometimes we have to be on our own to realise that we are always there for our own self. Begin with telling yourself that ‘I am all that i will ever need and everyone else will just flow in life in their own time’. 2. Meditate if you can, it helps but we all know it’s not always easy to achieve the meditative state. So Instead start small with breathing exercises, as small as simple breathing in and out consciously for 5 mins and trying to keep the in breath and out breath equal. 3. Lastly, lets stay engaged In doing something all the time – cooking, cleaning, gardening, dancing – we don’t realise how therapeutic it is to be doing something that engages our body, mind and creative spirit within, all at once.
